About Eir Solutions
Eir Solutions is a company established in 2015 by Professor Stein Kaasa at Institute of Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and NTNU Technology Transfer. Eir is based on many years of research within symptom assessment and management.
Stein Kaasa
The inventor of Eir is Stein Kaasa, an awarded Professor in Palliative Medicine and Head of the Department of Oncology at Oslo University Hospital.
Kaasa is former Head of the Department of Oncology at St. Olav’s Hospital, and is also the leader for European Palliative Care Research Centre (PRC), European Association for Palliative Care Research Network (EAPC RN), International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Group for Cancer Pain and European Palliative Care Research Collaborative (EPCRC).
Jon Håvard Loge
Jon Håvard Loge is a Physician and Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychiatry. His main research areas are Patient-Reported Outcomes, Post-Cancer Treatment Effects with focus on Subjective Ailments and Healthcare for Cancer Survivors. Loge is Head of the National Competence Center for Post-Cancer Treatment Effects, and Professor II at the Department of Medical Behavioral Sciences, University of Oslo.
